The Friends of Mashkinonje is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to:

-carrying out environmental protection and preservation, education, recreation and interpretive programs relating to the natural , scientific, historic and cultural resources of the Park.

-developing programs which will further awareness , understanding and appreciation of the Park's natural, historic and cultural resources.

In short, we would like to share our wonderful wetlands and scenic shorelines with you. We would also like to develop interpretive trails while maintaining the integrity of the Park's ecosystem, a delicate balance. Initially we will send you an annual copy of our newsletter the "WETLANDS OBSERVER" to update you on our progress and our latest finds. We expect our first newsletter to go out towards the end of the year. As a friend, you will be able to vote or become a member of our Board of Directors. Later on, we hope to be able to do more for you, our new friends.
